SankhyaSangam: InACT 2.0 – The Humanitarian Hackathon is an exciting initiative by Symbiosis Statistical Institute designed to challenge and inspire budding data enthusiasts. This event provides a unique platform for students to apply their statistical and analytical skills to real-world social issues, driving impactful and data-driven solutions.
Through collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation, participants will get hands-on exposure to the power of data in addressing humanitarian challenges. SankhyaSangam is not just a competition—it is an opportunity to harness the potential of statistics for social good and make a meaningful difference.
This Humanitarian Hackathon begins with a quiz that tests participants on Logical Reasoning and Analytical Skills at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
In this round, participants will receive problem statements and datasets to analyze. They must write and submit their code within the given time, with the link of the GitHub Repository. This round tests their Conceptual understanding, Data Analysis, Programming, and Technical Skills.
Finalists will present their projects to a panel of experts. They will explain how their solution supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how their code can make a real-world impact. Judges will evaluate their interpretation, technical skills, visualization, and presentation.
